Project Background : The client brought triple sites and wanted to make one large site with an intension to have large garden space. This excellent corner plot offered great opportunity to set aside the building away from the street creating a large private garden and also giving enough frontage to view the building form.
Architecture & Planning : The 6615 sft built up area of the house spreads on a site area of about 6860 sft. The house has got two internal double height courtyards. The central courtyard in the house features a water body and a double height which adds volume to the space and natural light flows in to the house. Agreen tree mural run along the courtyard double height wall. The bridge which connects the rooms in the first floor overlooks the central courtyard below. The dining opens onto a landscaped court with sculptures. The front facade is treated with architectural elements of stone and wood and glass giving warmth & richness to the entire design.
Large stained glass window over the staircase allows the natural light but maintains privacy. Master bedroom opens onto a landscaped terrace garden. The client’s hobby is to promote youngsters in the field of art and music. Second floor is completely dedicated to such performances with a raised platform covered with a fret glass canopy. Careful detailing of all interior spaces ensures an enhanced living experience. The unique composition of this house allows it to stand out in its own subtle way.
